About our hot air balloon flights
The balloon flight will last about one hour but you will need to allow 3-4 hours for the whole experience. When you meet on the launch site you will be checked in by our ground crew. After the passenger briefings are completed the hot air balloon will be prepared and the adventure begins

How many people can travel in a balloon?
We only fly small balloons, so we are able to carry 4 to 6 persons in our balloons. So we can offer you the best service.

We will only be in Germany for two weeks. Is it possible to go on a ride?
It depends on the weather! We conduct flights every day of the week. Take-off times are in the morning and in the evening. Make an appointment and we will see how the weather gets.

Our company Ballonservice Pfahlheim was set up in 1995. Our pilots have been flying balloons since 1989. Even though we love flying hot air balloons, we only fly if it is safe. As safety is our prime concern we cannot guarantee to conduct flights on any specific dates.
Ballonservice Pfahlheim holds a current Air Operators certificate issued by the German Luftfahrtbundesamt, which means that all of our procedures meet with the strictest standards required. Therefore all of our pilots hold private pilot licenses and have to undergo annual medical and flight checks with a official examiner in order to demonstrate their skills and to maintain our professional standards.

Weather Conditions
Hot Air Ballooning is very weather dependent. We need light surface winds, below 20 kph with no rain and good visibility. We always obtain the latest weather forecasts before making a decision to fly. Passenger safety and enjoyment are our prime considerations so if conditions do force a cancellation we will rearrange your flight for the next mutually convenient date within your stay in Germany.

Where Do We Fly From?
Our launching sites are situated in really wonderful areas in the southern part of Germany. Look here for further information. Our launch sites are picked for their close proximity to main roads or motorways giving easy access from all directions.
